It was a heartwarming story, I thought the beginning was a little bit dull, but I liked how the poet’s dog and the kids became friends with each other and shared the story about the poet. Happy ending.

There’s film based on this book, which I’ve never seen, so I knew a little about the story. It was more interesting and more serious than I had expected. I was amazed how Pi survived the life on the sea with a tiger on the same boat. I would like to see the movie as well.

Amelia が初期の女性パイロットだったことは知っていましたが、第一次世界大戦の看護師として働くなど、様々な社会活動をしていると初めて知りました。NSのLindbergh と同じ時代に生きていたという記述もあり、より親近感が湧きました。

イギリスらしい不思議な世界観が感じられてやっぱり好き。audioで聞くとCheshire cat, mad hatter, duchess, tea とか、音でもよりイギリスらしさが感じられる。

実は部分的にしかストーリーを知りませんでした。こんな話だったんですね。実在したらたしかにちょっといらっとするかもしれませんが、Rachelの底なしの自信とポジティブさほんとに尋常でなくすごい。audioを聞いていたら、アメリカの高校のお話なのにはっきりしたイギリス英語で、不思議な感じがしました。

ファッション・アート系の偉人の伝記はおもしろい。人とは違う自分を100%押し出して人生突き進んでいるから。ラルフが少年の頃から、”millionaire”は単なるお金持ちではなく、「何か素晴らしいことを成し遂げる人」と捉えていたのがすごい。お金持ちになったとしても歩みを止めない人の考え方について学べた。

I found the story a bit dull at first, but as I read on, I enjoyed guessing what would happen to the children living in a box car, hiding them from their own grandfather and came to like the kind people around them. The story had a heart-warming ending so I felt so good after reading this.

色とイラストがとても綺麗。可愛らしい話なのに、ご近所付き合いの難しさとか意外とリアルな話なのが面白い。

I love Harry Potter books but I didn’t know much about J.K.Rowling’s life. I was surprised to know that some characters in the stories are based on the real people around her. I was also amazed by how much Harry Potter books changed her life.

絵と色合いがとてもかわいい。Dragonがgroggyになったときにやってしまう失敗がなんともかわいくて癒される。
